Presumed Innocent (Warner 1990, Harrison Ford, Greta Scacchi)
Riveting courtroom drama starring Harrison Ford as a Deputy prosecutor, who is accused of murdering his beautiful co-worker, played by Greta Scacchi, with whom he had a secret affair. Ford is assigned to investigate the murder by his boss Chief Prosecutor (Brian Dennehy), who is trying to get re-elected. Ford desperately tries to uncover the facts while trying to cover his own intimate connection to the victim. Based on Scott Turow’s bsetselling novel.
In order to prepare for his role as a prosecutor in the 1990 film Presumed Innocent Harrison Ford spent several weeks in Detroit with the Chief Assistant Prosecutor studying files, courtroom procedures and watching training films. Ford’s presence in the courts caused so much chaos from attorneys, clerks and judges who were trying to get a look at the actor in court, that a deputy had to post a note on the door reading HARRISON FORD HAS LEFT THE COURTHOUSE.
