Topper Returns (MGM 1941, Roland Young, Carole Landis)
The third of the Topper movies finds Roland Young a detective after ghostly murder victim Joan Blondell asks him to intercede and save potential victim Landis’s life. Young next took the Topper act to TV.
This would be the series’ last ghostly outing on the big screen. A decade later, the characters would reappear on TV, with Leo G. Carroll taking over as the bewildered Cosmo.
