The episode also features retired miner Alan, who experienced a fall while walking his dog. Alan reflects on his time working in the coal mines and shares anecdotes about navigating through pitch-black darkness alongside his pit pony named Morris.
Nurse Christine’s story is another highlight as she describes how she pursued her ambition of working in the emergency department despite being a single parent to two children. Christine’s determination led her to put herself through college to obtain her nursing qualification.
