Junior Taskmaster for Channel 4: Rose Matafeo and Mike Wozniak to star

Channel 4’s new children’s entertainment show Junior Taskmaster features the talents of comedian, writer, and actor Rose Matafeo, and critically acclaimed writer and performer Mike Wozniak. This show was commissioned after the continued success of ratings and critical hit Taskmaster.

While Wozniak meticulously takes notes, records statistics, and efficiently administers each task in the show that recognises genius at any age, Matafeo will step into the role of the mighty Junior Taskmaster to score the efforts and assign points to the five courageous junior contestants as they complete a series of characteristically bizarre tasks that are designed to encourage and inspire wiles, wit, creativity, and athleticism.

Taskmaster has a large, diverse fan base and was, according to Channel 4’s ratings, the youngest-skewing series of the year. It’s up there with Gogglebox and Derry Girls for the most viewers among people aged 16 to 34 in the primetime 9 o’clock slot. Since 2021, the average number of viewers for each episode of Taskmaster on Channel 4’s streaming service [0-7Days, O+O] has increased with each new season.
