“Naked and Afraid” New Season Premieres Sunday February 19 on Discovery
A new season of “Naked and Afraid” premieres this February on Discovery.
This season of NAKED AND AFRAID will test even the most seasoned survivalists to their limits, with challenges ranging from the brutal jungles of Guyana to the infamous Devil’s Canyon in Mexico, a forbidding and hostile location where no one has been able to endure more than a few days before tapping out. These unique and groundbreaking teams will make history if they can figure out a way to work together in the face of the Everest of survival challenges: no food, no water, and no shelter.
The first episode of NAKED AND AFRAID will air on Discovery Channel on Sunday, February 19 at 8:00 PM ET/PT, and it will be available to stream on discovery+ the same day.
Two international survivalists compete to become the first non-Americans in the history of the series to last 21 days in the American Wild West. Another novel idea sees two Naked and Afraid medics trying to weather the storm for 21 days on tape. Others will try to make amends for their mistakes during their time in the wilderness. After failing in earlier tasks and coming to deeply regret their final choices, four survivalists grasp their final opportunity to prove their determination and prevail as a tribe. They have no notion what sort of hardships they would face.
This season’s survivalists go as grimy as the third-degree burns on their feet to face obstacles as brutal as they are real. From a seasoned mixed martial arts fighter to a seasoned traveller, should expect to be tested to their limits. Extreme conditions, such as biting insects, fluctuating temperatures, and uncharted terrain, quickly turn pumped survivalists into beaten ones.
