Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 3 Premieres December 1 on Starz

STARZ has announced that the upcoming third season of “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” will be returning on December 1. The season will continue to tell the origin story of Kanan Stark, a fan-favorite character originally played by 50 Cent in the flagship series “Power.” The new season will delve further into Kanan’s evolution from a devoted son into the ferocious and amoral personality known from “Power.”

In season 3 the Thomas family is in turmoil after a coordinated attack by the Mob. Raquel “Raq” Thomas, played by Patina Miller, is looking to make a fresh start, but her son Kanan, played by MeKai Curtis, doesn’t trust her. The trailer also introduces new adversaries, including Italian mob boss Stefano, played by Tony Danza.

In the previous two seasons of “Raising Kanan,” Kanan Stark has been on a journey of self-discovery, uncovering the truth about his mother and himself. This has forced him to confront his family’s web of secrets and lies. In season three, Kanan finds himself grappling with the notions of right and wrong, good and evil. The entire Thomas family is faced with an existential crisis that challenges their identities. They must redefine and reinvent themselves, but not all of them will succeed. The season promises to reveal a terrifying secret – that there are no absolutes, only oneself.

The cast of “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” includes Patina Miller, MeKai Curtis, Tony Danza, Wendell Pierce, and Erika Woods. Omar Epps, London Brown, Malcolm Mays, Hailey Kilgore, Joey Bada$$, Shanley Caswell, and Antonio Ortiz also star in the series. Grantham Coleman will be joining the cast as Ronnie in the upcoming season.

“Power Book III: Raising Kanan” is part of the expanded “Power” Universe franchise. Sascha Penn serves as the showrunner and executive producer for the third season. The series is executive produced by Courtney A. Kemp, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, and Mark Canton. Lionsgate Television produces the series for STARZ.

Fans can catch new episodes of “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” weekly from December 1 on Fridays at midnight ET on the STARZ app, STARZ streaming, and on-demand platforms. The linear premiere will be on STARZ at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT in the U.S. and Canada.
