The Gone, 23 March, BBC Four, “Episodes 3 & 4”
BBC Four is set to air a double bill of episodes 3 and 4 of the Irish-New Zealand crime drama series, “The Gone,” on Saturday 23 March 2024 from 9.00pm onwards.
In episode 3, viewers are taken on a gripping journey as Diana and Theo are faced with the difficult decision of releasing their primary suspect when they realise they are innocent. However, their attention quickly turns to finding Aileen Ryan, a journalist who has been kidnapped and whose life hangs in the balance. As tensions rise, a tragic development occurs during a mountain rescue operation that unveils an alarming new lead.
Following shortly after is episode 4 at 9.50pm on BBC Four. This intriguing chapter delves deeper into the investigation as Diana and Richter uncover evidence linking Sinead and Ronan to a cold case known as the Mountain Murders. The team must determine whether this means that the original killer has resurfaced or if someone else is carrying out copycat crimes. Meanwhile, Aileen encounters an individual she believes could provide valuable information in unraveling the mystery.
As relationships evolve amidst tense circumstances, both personally and professionally for Diana and her uncle’s character dynamics begin to shift towards common ground.
Featuring stellar performances by Matt Whelan, Latham Gaines, Manu Bennett, Michelle Fairley, Ella Gilbert, and Simon Mead, viewers can expect another night filled with suspense and intrigue.
