Travis Kelce to Host “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” on Prime Video

Prime Video has ordered a new game show, “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?“, a spinoff of the popular “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?“. The series will be hosted by Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro tight end and three-time Super Bowl champion. With a 20-episode order, the show will offer a fun twist on the original format, pitting adult contestants against elementary-level questions while enlisting the help of a classroom full of celebrities.

Kelce, known for his football prowess, is expanding his resume with his first major television role. He expressed his excitement about hosting a game show, stating, “I grew up loving game shows, and I’m excited to be following in the footsteps of so many TV icons.” The show will feature contestants attempting to answer 11 grade-school-level questions, with the assistance of celebrities from various fields. If they can make it to the final question, worth $100,000, and answer correctly, they take home the grand prize.

The choice of Kelce as host might seem. a little out of left fielf but he is a well-known figure in sports and pop culture, dating pop superstar Taylor Swift and making appearances on “Saturday Night Live.”

“Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” is produced by MGM Alternative, a division of Amazon MGM Studios, and will premiere on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories. The show promises to deliver entertainment and surprises, with celebrities from stage, screen, and sports. Contestants will be able to “cheat” off the celebrities, adding a unique twist to the traditional game show format.
