Leave It To Pastry (BBC Sitcom, Richard Hearne)

Sitcom Leave It To Pastry detailed the slapstick style adventures with Mr Pastry (played by the youngish Richard Hearne who made ample use of make up and wig to transform himself into Pastry).

This is just one of many Mr Pastry sitcoms and one offs. Hearne had been playing Mr Pastry since the 1930’s and was also popular in the states appearing several times on the Ed Sullivan Show. The character also appeared in several films most notably Helter Skeleter in 1949, The Time of His Life in 1955 and Tons of Trouble in 1956.
