N.Y.P.D. (ABC 1967-1969, Jack Warden, Robert Hooks)

Crime drama series N.Y.P.D. took us on to the streets of New York following the cases of three detectives working out of the 27th Precinct and led by the experienced Lt Mike Haines.

The other two in the trio were Jeff Ward and Johnny Corso and their cases took them across the whole city, from Greenwich Village to the Bowery.

The series had the co-operation of the real life New York Police Department and there was plentiful location filming which gave the series that extra layer of realism.
