In this Swedish crime drama series Rebecka Martinsson has just been made partner in a prestigious Stockholm lawfirm. When she gets a call to say that the woman who basically brought her up, Mildred (who also happened to be a vicar) has died she heads back to her remote home town to attend the funeral.
Rebecka finds that Mildred’s death was not as straight forward as she first thought. In fact it looks like Mildred was murdered. She teams up with local policewoman Anna Maria Mella to get to the bottom of the mystery. Meanwhile her new partners back in Stockholm are not impressed that she has taken time out.
