Water Rats (Channel 9 1996-2001, Colin Friels, Catherine McClements)

Crime drama series. Cases of the cops in charge of keeping crime away from Sydney Harbour. For the 2001 season following the departure of both Friels and McClements the producers decided to open the show up a little more to bring in more of the cops personal lives instead of just concentrating on the crimes.

On Tuesday 29 May 2001 Water Rats had its first wedding when Eva Minton returned from Darwin pregnant and ready to marry Gavin Sykes but soon after this the series was cancelled. Final episode broadcast 7 August 2001. The show won two Awgies in 2001.
