Scifi drama series. In a present very similar to our own, human like robots aka synths (short for synthetic human) are the latest must have accessory for the modern family. As the series begins Joe and Laura Hawkins purchase a synth despite some serious misgivings from Laura. Designed only to serve and help it seems their Synth may have actually developed feelings.

Meanwhile Dr George Millican has issues with his own synth. He thinks of it as a son and when it develops a malfunction makes the decision to go on the run rather than give “him” up.

A classic Scifi trope is given a new lease of life here.
