Thriller serial. When Guy and Leonora’s relationship comes to an end it threatens to boil over into tragedy. Guy and Leonara had met at school and whilst Leonara was from a wealthy background for a time she found herself drifting into a life of crime with Guy, later as adults Guy is unable to let go and events come to a head when Leonara reveals she is going to get married.

An entry in the Ruth Rendell Mysteries series, this was quite a strong thriller that at times was spoiled by some risible flashbacks to the leads as teenagers.
