Our Barbara – A Special Edition of 20/20

Barbara Walters, a trailblazing television journalist known for her in-depth interviews, is remembered in this retrospective.

This two-hour primetime program will pay tribute to Barbara Walters, a pioneering journalist and anchor for ABC News, via the words of her colleagues, friends, and family, as well as Walters herself.

The special will include some of Walters’ most revolutionary and famous interviews as well as never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage of Walters and conversations with Bob Iger, David Muir, Diane Sawyer, Deborah Roberts, Robin Roberts, and George Stephanopoulos.

ABC News will air a feature of Walters, who will be remembered for her many achievements in the media industry and for being the first woman to co-anchor a network’s morning and nightly newscasts.

After working for ABC News for 25 years as the main correspondent and co-host of “20/20,” Walters launched “The View” with her co-hosts in 1997.

As a result of her groundbreaking body of work, Walters has been recognized on a national scale and awarded with various accolades.
