Alexander Armstrong in Sri Lanka: Episode 2 airs Thursday 25 May 2023 on Channel 5.

Beginning with a train ride to the mountain village of Haputale, Alexander Armstrong continues his tour through Sri Lanka to meet with modern-day tea farmers and learn more about the history of British tea entrepreneur Sir Thomas Lipton.

When Alexander first visits Sri Lanka, he stays in the city of Kandy, surrounded by water, where he is exposed to Ayurveda and where he is treated to a variety of traditional Ayurvedic treatments by Dr. DeSilva.

To learn more about the coexistence of humans and elephants on the island, Alexander travels to the infant Elephant Transit Home, located south of the park in the direction of Udawalawe.
