Frayed Season 2 Episode 5 airs Wed 27 Oct on ABC TV

Bev (Doris Younane) and baby Frances move into the Coopers’ house, prompting arguments between Sammy (Sarah Kendall) and Jim (Ben Mingay), whilst Jean (Kerry Armstrong) struggles to reconcile her memories of Frank.

Fairbank (Hamish Michael) questions Abby’s ex, Scott (Josh McElroy), about Terry Harris. With this new information about the nature of Terry’s relationship with his daughter, Fairbank is starting to build a new case. Meanwhile Lenny (Frazer Hadfield) struggles with his guilt and turns to his friend Bo (Trystan Go) for a big night of drinking to escape his feelings.

Deciding to stay in Newcastle in the short term and with no other prospects, Sammy approaches Chris (George Houvardas) for her old job. Whilst in the office, Sammy meets Chris’ new flame, local reporter Sandy (Jane Hall), who wants to interview Sammy about why she’s back. Sammy tries to re-enrol her kids in school and is met with resistance by Dan’s girlfriend.

Fairbank makes a visit to the Harris’ and questions them in light of the new information from Scott. Abby and Lenny heal their rift and hatch plans for getting out of Newcastle. Meanwhile, Fiona (Diane Morgan) warns Sammy and Jim of Fairbank’s new lead in the case. The following morning Sammy discretely confides in Chris that Fairbank has cracked the case however events are completely stopped in their tracks by Mother Nature.
