What is this episode about

This week, a large number of young people at The Ridge Medical Practice in Bradford require the services of the mobile surgery.

Ayesha and her mother Humera are hoping that Dr. Ferdinand will be able to help with the rash that has appeared on Ayesha’s hands. Dr. Ferdinand becomes suspicious after Humera says Ayesha has been washing her hands constantly all day. After asking a few questions, he learns that Ayesha’s obsessive behaviour may be linked to a recent family tragedy.

Ryan, age 17, is suffering from a sore throat. Dr. David Ward is worried that the lumps will return despite repeated courses of antibiotics because they have been bothering him for the past year. He suggests Ryan see an ear, nose, and throat doctor and prescribes pain medication.

Rosie is only 21, but she has experienced severe stomach pain before. She had surgery for stage 3 endometriosis last year, and now she’s here to see GP Registrar Amy Tulip because she’s worried that her other ovary is infected as well. Dr. Amy examines Rosie and then orders a scan.

Rida, a young adolescent, was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, a chronic condition that affects the bowels and intestines, when she was 11 years old. Rida’s clogged ears are diagnosed and treated by Dr. Amir Khan.

Benjamin discusses his feelings of anxiety and depression with Dr. Chris Harris. Dr. Chris recommends medication that targets other physical symptoms in addition to the support systems and coping mechanisms he already has in place.

Savannah and Poppie have tonsillitis, while Daniel, a scooter enthusiast, has painful knees examined by Dr. Ferdinand. Dr. Amir examines Fiona’s chest because her hacking cough prevents her from playing the cornet in her brass band.
