In the third episode Despite the progress in her relationship with Julian, Phoebe is devastated by the news that funding for FVLS will be reduced. We meet Cherry, a mother of two, who is trying to make her way through the legal system despite her limited English language skills; Ry, who is in yet another troubled relationship; and Diana, who has nowhere else to turn but the streets.
And in the final episode Phoebe is shaken by the news that someone she cares about has been a victim of domestic violence, so she immediately goes to court to show her support. However, Phoebe and the rest of the DVLS team are put in harm’s way when the IVO hearing doesn’t go as expected. A murder occurs at the centre where the lives of Phoebe and her coworkers intersect with those of Diana, Ry, and Cherry.
In Safe Home, Aisha Dee plays Phoebe, a young professional in her twenties who decides to leave her job at a prestigious law firm to join the underfunded Family Violence Legal Service (FVLS).
