In this riveting new series, property expert Sarah Beeny follows intrepid city slickers as they make a clean break for the country and embark on new beginnings in picturesque rural retreats. Projects range from opening a cafe/craft centre hybrid and a caravan park to restoring a home for vacation rentals and restoring a dilapidated farmhouse one room at a time.

In this opening episode, we meet James, who is trying to start over financially by opening a boutique rural hotel. Plus Gary and Annette decide to enter a scarecrow contest in their village.
