Colin keeps a watchful eye in the control room at West Orchards for anything that doesn’t seem right. Concerned stand holder spots suspicious behaviour and stops Mark and Keith, who are patrolling the ground floor. Colin looks for the target on the screens. The guards’ top priority is ensuring the public’s safety, and the male may be in possession of a weapon. They are focused solely on one thing as they risk their lives for it. Collaborating, they manage to apprehend the criminal.
In Newton Abbot, businesses depend on a squad of security personnel to monitor customers and prevent unwanted visitors. Undercover with uniform officer Tom, Nush watches for suspicious activity. A shop calls the squad for assistance in locating a man who stole a number of cosmetics and face creams. Taking up the pursuit, Nush contacts other stores in the area to see if anyone has seen the mysterious shopper. The council-run CCTV centre in the London suburb of Enfield tracked 17,000 incidents last year, leading to 700 arrests.
Upon logging on for the day, Ayhan is instructed to apprehend a violent man who has committed shoplifting from a supermarket. Ayhan notices that the criminals are making their way to a convenience store, and his trained eye detects very suspicious behaviour. You might think the guards at West Orchards wouldn’t remember a face among the over 20,000 visitors they see every day, but they never forget anyone they’ve dealt with previously. As Phil, the center’s controller, keeps an eye on the surveillance footage, a familiar face to the security staff strolls into the mall accompanied by a friend. Paige positions herself to observe their every move.
