CBS and the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) have announced that Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner, co-hosts of the Emmy Award-winning newsmagazine Entertainment Tonight, will once again take the helm as hosts of the 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. The awards will air live on Friday, June 7, at 8:00–10:00 p.m. ET/PT on the CBS Television Network and will also be available to stream on Paramount+.
This year’s ceremony, produced by NATAS and Associated Television International (ATI), marks the 18th time that CBS has broadcast the Daytime Emmy Awards, solidifying its commitment to celebrating excellence in daytime television. The show will broadcast live from the Westin Bonaventure in historic downtown Los Angeles, recognising the best in daytime programming and the talented individuals who bring these shows to life.
In addition to the awards ceremony, NATAS has announced the 2024 Gold and Silver Circle Honorees, recognising individuals who have made enduring contributions to the world of daytime television. These inductees represent outstanding professionals who have set standards for achievement, mentorship, and leadership in the industry for 50 or 25 years, respectively.
The 2024 Gold Circle Inductees include Jerome Dobson, a writer for iconic soaps such as Guiding Light and General Hospital; A Martínez, actor in The Bay and Santa Barbara; and Suzanne Rogers, actress in the long-running series Days of Our Lives.
The Silver Circle Inductees feature notable names such as Kathleen Finch, Chairman and CEO of US Networks at Warner Brothers Discovery; Janet Spellman-Drucker, co-executive producer of Days of Our Lives; and Rolonda Watts, a renowned talk show host, actress, and voice-over talent.
The Daytime Emmy Awards honor the very best in daytime television, and this year’s ceremony promises to be a stellar celebration of talent. With Frazier and Turner themselves nominated for Outstanding Daytime Personality, the evening is set to be a showcase of the diverse and exceptional talent that daytime TV has to offer.
