What can we expect from this episode

After diving 13,000 feet on June 18th, 2023 to see the Titanic on the ocean floor, five passengers aboard the Titan submersible perished in a “catastrophic implosion,” authorities reported on June 22nd.

This framed a phenomenal international search operation that lasted five days and was conducted in the area of the world’s most infamous shipwreck. Kaye explains what happened, beginning with the Titan’s initial descent and ending with their final communication. Kaye summarizes what we know now as investigators continue to scour the ocean floor for debris, trying to establish the circumstances of the Titan’s fatal final voyage.
