In Totland Bay, Isle of Wight, a boating accident leaves three passengers seriously injured. Lead investigator Mark Cam and his team from the MCA’s Regulatory Compliance Investigations Team (RCIT) are tasked with a challenging 18-month investigation to determine the cause of the near-fatal disaster and seek justice for the victims.

Meanwhile, in Llanaber, North Wales, an 85-year-old woman finds herself clinging to life as she is battered by treacherous waves. With time ticking, the Maritime Rescue Co-ordination Centre (MRCC) scrambles to locate her before it’s too late. Elsewhere, in Cornwall, a couple is reported stranded on a rock by passers-by, but the powerful swell knocks them into a cave, prompting a dramatic and dangerous rescue mission.

As these incidents unfold, the Coastguard team faces a race against time, battling adverse conditions and complex situations to save lives.
