“Elizabeth Chambers” To Host New Series For Investigation Discovery
Elizabeth Chambers, TV host and journalist, has signed a development deal with ID to host and executive produce a series examining the nuances of abusive and exploitative partnerships. The initiative will research and shed light on long-held secrets, generational trauma, and deeply seated psychiatric difficulties by interviewing and utilizing the first-hand stories of survivors. The victims of these atrocities will be given agency over their own stories in an upcoming ID series with a title to be announced soon.
“We’re big admirers of Elizabeth and know that this new series will resonate with our passionate true crime audience,” said Jason Sarlanis, President of Turner Networks, ID & HLN, Linear and Streaming. “Elizabeth brings a unique empathy to help elevate victim’s voices which perfectly aligns with ID’s mission to use its platform to share powerful stories of hope, resilience, and survival.”
ID has been at the forefront of the true crime genre for over a decade, airing compelling specials, informative documentaries, and innovative series all in the sake of amplifying the voices of victims and giving closure to unsolved cases.
This past October, ID also launched its inaugural NO EXCUSE FOR ABUSE campaign to shed light on, and bring awareness to, domestic violence. Through its partnerships with One Love Foundation and NO MORE, ID presented on-air resources, PSAs, and tools to ensure viewers are equipped to identify the various forms of domestic violence.
