For the Love of Dogs with Alison Hammond Episode 2, 23 April 2024, ITV1
In the second episode of For the Love of Dogs with Alison Hammond, the presenter continues her mission to support dogs in need of new homes. This week, she meets a lurcher who was found tied up in a cemetery and requires emergency surgery, a stressed French bulldog struggling to breathe, and a Bichon Frisé in desperate need of a haircut.
Alison Hammond takes over presenting duties at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, following in the footsteps of the late Paul O’Grady. In this episode, airing on ITV1 on Tuesday 23 April, she encounters three dogs with unique stories and challenges.
The first dog, a lurcher, was found abandoned in a cemetery, tied up and in need of urgent medical attention. With Hammond’s help, the dog receives the necessary surgery and begins the road to recovery.
The second dog, a French bulldog, is brought to Battersea due to respiratory issues. Hammond lends a hand in caring for the dog and ensuring its breathing difficulties are addressed.
The third dog, a Bichon Frisé, has a severely matted coat, and Hammond assists in giving the dog a much-needed grooming session, transforming its comfort and appearance.
For the Love of Dogs with Alison Hammond airs on ITV1 at 8:00 pm on Tuesday 23 April 2024.
