Ben Chan, a philosophy professor from Green Bay, Wisconsin, with two wins needed just one more victory to secure the championship. Troy Meyer, a music executive from Tampa, Florida, and Yogesh Raut, a social and personality psychologist from Vancouver, Washington, each had one win under their belts.
The categories in this episode included “K”-TOWN, ANNUAL EVENTS, MUSICAL FILMS, 21st CENTURY WORDS, CHOOSE A PROTEIN”, and “& 5 SIDES”.
During Double Jeopardy!, Hubert Humphrey’s quote about getting out of the shadow of certain “rights” was featured in VICE PRESIDENTIAL QUOTES. There was also a category called HORRORS! which challenged contestants’ knowledge about a Ray Bradbury novel.
Ultimately, Yogesh emerged as the winner after securing two Daily Doubles. With an impressive score of 38,800 points heading into Final Jeopardy!, he maintained his lead over Troy with 18,401 points and Ben with 16,801 points.
The Final Jeopardy! category was EURASIA. The clue asked about Zvartnots International Airport serving this capital city. Both Troy and Ben correctly responded with What is Yerevan, Armenia?. However, Yogesh wagered nothing since his first-place standing couldn’t be affected by Final Jeopardy!.
In the end, Yogesh claimed his second win in the final round with a total score of 38,800 points.
