LITTLE TRAINS & BIG NAMES: New More 4 Series With PETE WATERMAN Exploring the World of Model Railways
Channel 4 has commissioned a new four-part series called “Little Trains & Big Names” from Workerbee Group. The series will feature music producer Pete Waterman exploring the fascinating world of miniature model railways on More 4.
Pete Waterman’s own lifelong fascination with railways inspired the idea for the series. Despite his busy schedule as a pop music producer, Waterman considers himself a devoted model railway enthusiast.
Pete says
Pete Waterman says: “For as long as I can remember I have been mesmerised by the world of miniature model railways. It has been a total joy exploring the magic of this subculture with viewers at home, and reconnecting with some old friends like Jools, Eddie, James and Francis along the way!”
Celebrity guests
The series will showcase Waterman traveling across the country to meet with his famous friends who share his fascination for miniature model railways. This includes Jools Holland, Eddie Izzard, James May, and Francis Rossi.
Each guest will provide a unique perspective and contribute to the exploration of the joys of this captivating hobby. Viewers will have the opportunity to witness exclusive glimpses of Jools Holland’s 12-year project and see Waterman assist Status Quo’s Francis Rossi in finding inspiration for his inaugural model railway layout.
As Waterman admires his friends’ models, he will also seek out new techniques and advice to complete his own ambitious exhibition piece, which must be constructed within a tight six-month deadline before opening to the public.
