“The Bear” Season 2 Set to Premiere Thursday, June 22 on FX.

The Bear, the award-winning and critically acclaimed FX series, will premiere its highly anticipated second season on Hulu on Thursday, June 22. The premiere will feature all ten episodes. The Bear Season 2 will premiere on Star+ in Latin America and Disney+ everywhere else.

What is in store in the second season

In season two, Jeremy Allen White’s Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, Ayo Edebiri’s Sydney Adamu, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s Richard “Richie” Jerimovich work to turn their dingy sandwich shop into a hip new hangout. As they gut the restaurant, the staff members go through their own personal reinvention processes, facing their own histories and deciding what kind of people they want to be going forward.

Of course, it turns out that opening a restaurant is even more difficult than running an existing one, and the crew has to deal with the insane bureaucracy of permits and contractors in addition to the beauty and creative agony of menu planning. With the shift comes a fresh emphasis on hospitality. The staff learns what it means to be of service to customers and to one another as they are compelled to work together in novel ways, testing the limits of their abilities and relationships.

White, Edebiri, and Moss-Bachrach are joined by series regulars Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Matty Matheson, as well as guest stars Edwin Lee Gibson, Oliver Platt, and series newcomer Molly Gordon.

The first season of the critically acclaimed series also garnered numerous awards, including the AFI TV Program of the Year award, as well as statuettes from the Writers Guild of America, the Producers Guild of America, the Directors Guild of America, the Film Independent Spirit Awards, the American Cinema Editors, and the American Cinema Editors Emmys. Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild, and Critics’ Choice Award for Comedy Actor all went to Jeremy Allen White.

Who is making the series

FX’s The Bear was created by Christopher Storer (Ramy, Eighth Grade), who acts as executive producer alongside Joanna Calo (BoJack Horseman, Undone), Hiro Murai (Atlanta, Station Eleven) of Super Frog, Josh Senior, and Matty Matheson, with Tyson Bidner (Ramy) serving as producer. The series is produced by FX Productions.
