Jack Of Diamonds (BBC-1 1982, Dick Emery, Tony Selby)

Comedy thriller serial Jack of Diamonds focused on a pair of private detectives, Bernie Weinstock and Norman Lugg of Crimebusters International, go in search of diamonds hidden in Holland during World War II.

As was his way Dick Emery, who starred, played a number of different roles. Speaking to Granada TV in the early 2000’s Producer Stuart Allen said of Emery “Dick Emery was the kindest and one of the most talented artistes I ever worked with in my career in Television. Sadly his death prevented me from working on another series with him although we had talked about it.”
