Marigold (BBC 1936, Sophie Stewart, Jean Clyde)
This production came direct from the stage of The London Theatre with the camera simply placed amongst the seats in the audience and filming the action on the stage.
It billed itself as a Scottish comedy (although it was merely an excerpt from the stage performance).
The first play to be shown on the proper television service.
