New Scotland Yard: The Wrong ‘Un (ITV 3 June 1972)

In The Wrong ‘Un Kingdom and Ward find their investigation of a prison inmate hampered by the closed prison life and are stymied not just by unwilling inmates but unwilling guards too.

This episode featured a prominent role for DJ Stuart Henry who around this time was trying to make inroads as a serious actor. Henry played the tough Terry McGowan who is actually the man responsible. His gang includes a young Billy Murray and an equally young Alun Armstrong.
