Public Eye: All For A Couple of Ponies (ITV 23 Jan 1965, with Jack Smethurst)
In All For A Couple of Ponies, the very first episode of Public Eye, Frank Marker, private inquiry agent, has a seemingly straightforward case – a Hire Purchase recovery job on a green van. However things don’t run quite as smoothly as Frank would like.
The van is in the possession of Joey Stone (played by future Love Thy Neighbour star Jack Smethurst) and he is nowhere to be found.
Besides Smethurst familiar faces in the cast also included Ernest Clark from the Doctor sitcoms and character Artro Morris.
