Period drama serial The Last of the Mohicans is based on the novel by James Fenimore Cooper and is your classic BBC serial version featuring a top flight cast that includes the brilliant Philip Madoc, John Abineri (of Survivors) as Chingachook and Kenneth Ives as Hawkeye.

Set in the mid 18th century, during the North American wars when the Native American tribes were caught between the British and the French, this exciting series follows the heroic adventures of “Hawkeye”, and his companions “Chingachook” and “Uncas” – the true last of the Mohicans.

When the daughters of an English colonel are betrayed and captured by “Magua”, their ruthless Huron guide, Hawkeye and the Mohicans rescue them and vow to get them safely back to their father.
