What is this episode about
Covert operatives from the Eastern Region Special Operation Unit are the focus of this two-part special on the smuggling of large quantities of Class A drugs into the country. A shipment from Europe weighing more than 100 kilogrammes was stopped at customs in the United Kingdom.
In order to find out who is responsible, an undercover operation has been given permission to follow the shipment as it makes its way to a farm in rural Hertfordshire, where it will be unloaded.
According to the investigation, the shipment is just one of 39 that were sent as part of a plot to flood the market with Class A drugs worth £58 million. The shipment is being organised by state-of-the-art technology used by the criminals. The undercover agents get lucky and crack the code used by the Encro encrypted phones.
The conspirators think the authorities will never be able to hack into these phones, but the messages reveal a crucial piece of information: their leader’s code name is “Jaguar Palace.”
In the premiere episode, cameras document the unfolding of the investigation into the true nature of Jaguar Palace and the criminal organisation responsible for the largest shipment of class A drugs ever imported into the eastern region of the United Kingdom. Here, the truth is more interesting than fiction, making for compelling drama.
