Today Monday 5 December 2022 the show My Dead Body airs a new episode called .

The account of a young woman who made a remarkable choice that will positively impact countless people’s lives for years to come. Additionally, My Dead Body chronicles a never-before-seen medical investigation.

Toni Crews was a typical mother of two up until 2016. But everything changed after she underwent surgery to remove her eye after being diagnosed with a rare tear gland cancer.

Thanks to her bravery, humor, and unvarnished honesty, Toni gained a large online community of followers from the UK and abroad as she posted photos of her surgery scars and inspirational poems on social media to document her treatment.

Toni was determined to continue spreading awareness and assisting others in understanding cancer even after she passed away when she learned that her cancer was terminal at the age of only 29 and that her body had been ravaged by the illness.

In addition to donating her body to science, she also decided to grant permission for it to be displayed in public, a first in the nearly 200 years of dissection.

This film, which is narrated by Toni in her own words and collaborates with Brighton and Sussex Medical School, follows Professor Claire Smith, the department’s head of anatomy, and her team as they dissect Toni’s body and trace the progression of her illness from the time she was first diagnosed until she passed away four years later.

While the scientists track Toni’s cancer, her family and friends describe how she approached both her life and her death. Through home videos and touchingly honest interviews, they provide a window into Toni’s character and the motivations behind her choice.
