Teen First Dates: Episode 8 (S2EP8 Wed 6 April 2022)
All present and correct for her date is 16-year-old army cadet Eve who’s hoping to recruit a boyfriend that shares her love of music. Her date is 17-year-old music fanatic Lewis who describes himself as Marmite – people either love or hate his terrible chat up lines and risqué comments. Will his Manchester swagger win Eve over or will she give him his marching orders?
Next into the restaurant is 17-year-old Caelum from Carlisle who’s on his first date as a trans man. He’s looking for a nerdy guy with glasses and in walks his date, 18-year-old, bespectacled computing student James. Having both only had one previous date – where the other person didn’t speak – will the conversation flow tonight, or will they find themselves tongue-tied? Returning to the restaurant for a second date is 19-year-old martial arts champ Angelina.
After not having much in common with her previous date, she’s looking to go the distance with someone who shares her interests. She’s in luck when 18-year-old amateur boxer Luke arrives, but will Round 2 be a knockout success or will Angelina throw in the towel again?
And 18-year-old Maddison’s Northern accent hides an unexpected talent – she’s a budding opera singer, but struggles to find a boy who has that skill on his wish-list. Her date is football-mad Dan who loves 2 different teams but is yet to experience the L-word himself. With Maddison’s second passion being football can Dan tackle the world of dating and score, or will he end the night facing relegation?

Season 2 Episode 8
Fred and his team of matchmakers will be aiming cupid’s arrow at E4 as they bring together a bunch of teens, who are all looking to delve into the sometimes-choppy waters of dating and love by going on their first, first dates.
This new six-part series will see the brand-spanking new First Dates restaurant in Manchester open its doors to teens aged 16-19, who’ll experience the thrill of a real-life, face to face blind date.
While our teens may not be ready to settle down with their soulmate just yet, First Dates: Teens gives these young romantics the chance to put their phones in their pocket, escape from the pressures of social media and talk face-to-face with a potential match. They’ll be able to put their flirting to the test, but most importantly, take a journey of self-discovery. Through their own experiences and viewpoints, the teens will explore who they are, who they want to be, and what it takes to make the perfect connection with another person.
Whilst dating can be terrifying at any age, Fred, Merlin, Cici, Grant alongside some new faces will be on hand to guide our teens through their journey step by step, helping to build their confidence and create a memorable first dating experience.
Of course, the health and safety of the teens, Fred and his team and the production crew remains a top priority. All dates have been conducted in compliance with strict COVID-19 filming protocols and the most up to date government guidelines.
