The Cleaning Lady Season 2 Australia Premiere Tues 20 September on Fox One
Season 2 of US crime drama series The Cleaning Lady gets an Australian premiere this September on Fox One.
Elodie Yung (The Hitman’s Bodyguard, Daredevil) plays the whip-smart Cambodian doctor Thony in the 12-episode series. She travels to the United States for treatment in order to save her sick son.
But when the system breaks down, she joins the mob as a cleaning lady and starts playing by her own set of rules.
When season two begins, Thony (Yung) is scrambling to locate her son after his father abducted him (Ivan Shaw). She asks FBI Agent Garrett Miller (Oliver Hudson) to find him before they leave the country because she has nowhere else to turn.
The theme of how far a mother will go to protect her child is continued when an incident involving Chris (Sean Lew) forces Fiona (Martha Millan) to defend her son by any means necessary.
Starring alongside Yung are returning cast Oliver Hudson (Scream Queens), Adan Canto (Designated Survivor), Australian actress Martha Millan (The OA), Ivan Shaw (Insecure, Casual), Eva De Dominici (The Fragility of Bodies), Sean Lew, Faith Bryant and Valentino and Sebastien LaSalle.
Chelsea Frei (Dollface), Liza Weil (How to Get Away with Murder, Gilmore Girls) and Naveen Andrews (The Dropout, Lost) guest star.
THE CLEANING LADY is based on the original Argentinian series and produced by Warner Bros. Television and FOX Entertainment.
Miranda Kwok developed the series and is a writer and executive producer. Melissa Carter (Queen Sugar) is showrunner and executive producer. Shay Mitchell (You, Pretty Little Liars), David Dean Portelli, Rose Marie Vega and Paola Suarez also are executive producers.
Airdate: Tuesday 20 September 2022 at 5.00pm on Fox One and Foxtel On Demand.
