Arrivederci, Baby! (Paramount 1966, Tony Curtis, Zsa Zsa Gabor)
Tony Curtis stars in this comedy about a fortune hunter who marries beautiful women and quickly disposes of them. His latest conquest is a young Italian beauty, played by Rosanna Schiaffino, who quickly figures out his plan and tries to turn the tables on him. Quite possibly Tony Curtis’s funniest role, which was adeptly written, directed, and produced by Ken Hughes.
After the Tony Curtis comedy Arrividerci, Baby! flopped in America, it was released in England – where it was filmed – under the less subtle title Drop Dead Darling. Alas, the name change did little to give the film a new lease on life in the UK.
