The latest episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? airing on Sunday May 5 on TLC, sees the return of fan-favourite couples, including the controversial duo of Thais and Patrick. In this episode, Thais and Patrick travel to Thais’ hometown in Brazil, hoping to mend their strained relationship with her father, who still expects Patrick to ask for his daughter’s hand in marriage. However, things take an unexpected turn when Patrick’s brother, John, joins them on the trip, and Patrick’s father makes some unexpected demands.
Elsewhere in the episode, Nicole goes in search of Mahmoud, while Sophie’s mom fuels her daughter’s distrust of Rob. Sophie’s mum, Claire Sierra, has plenty of reasons for her distrust and disapproval of Rob Warne. Firstly, there is tension and misunderstanding between them, with Rob being rude and cold towards Claire, making her feel unwelcome in his home. She also has concerns about Rob’s financial situation and believes he is incapable of providing for Sophie. Claire describes Rob as “Rob the knob,” highlighting her negative view of him.
Additionally, Claire is also aware of Rob’s alleged previous infidelity towards Sophie. Rob cheated on Sophie during their long-distance relationship, allegedly sending explicit videos and messages to other women. This has understandably caused a rift in their relationship and strained Rob’s relationship with his prospective mother-in-law.
The episode also sees Jasmine sharing surprising news with Gino, and Loren undergoing a procedure.
The show follows couples who have received or applied for a K-1 visa, which is available to foreign fiancés of US citizens. With a deadline of 90 days to marry, the couples navigate cultural differences, family dynamics, and relationship challenges.
