A Yorkshire Farm Episode 5, 28 March 2024, Channel 5
On Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 7:00 PM., Channel 5 presents a new episode of A Yorkshire Farm titled “Episode 5.” This documentary series, presented by Jules Hudson, takes viewers on a journey through the seasons at Cannon Hall Farm in Yorkshire. The show celebrates farming traditions and explores the impact of mother nature while also looking ahead to new farming technology and ideas.
In this particular episode, we join dairy farmer Tom Neil as he prepares for a snowstorm that could potentially affect his milk production and put his hard work at risk. Meanwhile, three major storms wreak havoc across the UK, causing flooding near a farm in the Yorkshire Dales during lambing season. Cattle farmer James Marshall must bring his cows to safety before the high tide floods the land in the Cumbrian Marshlands.
The episode also features JB Gill visiting a vineyard in Surrey to help harvest grapes with owner Nick Wenman. However, their plans take an unexpected turn when a rainstorm interrupts their work. In addition to exploring UK weather challenges, Rob and Dave venture to Sweden where they experience freezing temperatures in the Arctic Circle.
Away from frosty climates, Cannon Hall deals with hot summer conditions as the Nicholsons shear their Jacob sheep to keep them cool. Rob takes Dave to visit a sunny Tea plantation in Jersey and attempts to convince him to become a true Yorkshireman who enjoys a proper brew. Throughout all these stories and more, A Yorkshire Farm provides an intimate look into daily life on a working farm.
