Gymnastics: European Championships, 27 April 2024, BBC Three

BBC presents highlights of the men’s individual apparatus finals at the European Championships in Rimini, Italy. The programme, airing on BBC Three on Saturday 27 April, is hosted by Matt Baker, a former gymnast himself, and features analysis from Olympic bronze medallist Beth Tweddle.

The British squad includes three-time Olympic champion Max Whitlock, who is set to defend his pommel horse title at the upcoming Paris Games. Whitlock, the most successful gymnast in British history, has four European gold medals to his name but missed last year’s championships due to injury.

Another British gymnast to watch is Jake Jarman, the reigning world vault champion. Jarman, who began gymnastics at age seven, won gold in the team and vault events at the 2022 European Championships, becoming the first British male to win European gold on vault. He also claimed gold at the 2023 World Championships, making him the first Briton to win a world vault title.
