Amazon’s “House of David” Announces Main Cast

Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming biblical drama series, “House of David,” has announced its main cast, with Michael Iskander set to play the titular role of David. Ali Suliman and Ayelet Zurer join him as King Saul and Queen Ahinoam, respectively, while Stephen Lang and Martyn Ford take on the roles of Samuel and Goliath.

“House of David” explores the iconic ascent of David, the famous king of Israel, and the fall of the once-powerful King Saul due to his pride. The series follows David, an outcast teenager, who is anointed by the prophet Samuel at God’s direction, setting him on a journey to discover and fulfill his destiny within the court of Saul.

The ensemble cast also includes Indy Lewis as Mychal, Yali Topol Margalith as Mirab (Saul’s daughters), Ethan Kai as Jonathan (Saul’s son and heir), Oded Fehr as Abner (Saul’s advisor), Louis Ferreira as Jesse (David’s father), Davood Ghadami as Eliab (David’s eldest brother and a decorated warrior in King Saul’s army), and Ashraf Barhom as Doeg, a mysterious Edomite.

Based on an idea by director Jon Erwin, who also serves as an executive producer, “House of David” is produced by Nomadic Pictures, Argonauts, Kingdom Story Company, and Lionsgate Television, in association with The Wonder Project and Amazon MGM Studios.

Erwin expressed his enthusiasm for the assembled cast, stating, “Our entire cast is incredible, and I can’t wait for a global audience to get to know them the way I do.”

Production for “House of David” is currently underway in Greece, bringing this biblical story to life for audiences worldwide.
