Dating Docuseries “Swiping America” Set to Premiere June 15 on Max
On Thursday, June 15th, Max will premiere the first two episodes of SWIPING AMERICA, an eight-part original romantic documentary (rom-doc) dating series created by Stephen Warren and Johnnie Ingram (the Emmy®, Peabody, Television Academy Honors, and GLAAD Award-winning unscripted series “We’re Here”). On June 22, the next four episodes will air, and on June 29, the series will conclude with two new episodes.
What is Swiping America about
In SWIPING AMERICA, a diverse group of New York City singles (Ashleigh, Kesun, Kris, and Reagan) use a dating app to delve into their own issues with sexuality, romance, and interpersonal connections across eight cities. Producers swiping through profiles and setting up blind dates for the cast in various American cities (including Asheville, Miami, Austin, New Orleans, Santa Fe, Boulder, Seattle, and Honolulu) in each episode. Their journey throughout the season culminates in Hawaii, where they each select their best match from the season and decide whether or not their relationship has a chance at lasting.

SWIPING AMERICA is created and executive produced by Johnnie Ingram and Stephen Warren; executive produced by showrunner Stephanie Schwam, Eli Holzman & Aaron Saidman for The Intellectual Property Corporation (IPC), a part of Sony Pictures Television, Sabrina Mar, and Jennifer O’Connell; directed and co-executive produced by Jyllian Gunther.
