In the upcoming episode of Emmerdale, tensions rise as Gabby attempts to repair her strained relationship with Laurel. After allowing Amit to buy into their business at The Hide, Gabby finds herself in a difficult position with both Laurel and Jai. Will she be able to smooth things over with Laurel and potentially salvage her connection with Jai?

Meanwhile, Chas takes it upon herself to do some research. As we know from previous episodes, Chas is no stranger to taking matters into her own hands when it comes to solving problems or gathering information. What will she uncover this time? And how will it impact those around her?

But the biggest storyline looming on the horizon involves Rhona Dingle and baby Ivy. Since being entrusted with caring for Ivy while Gus dealt with his grief following the loss of his wife during childbirth, Rhona has become deeply attached to the child.

The fact that Ivy was created from embryos that Rhona and Gus made together during their marriage only intensifies Rhona’s bond with Ivy even more. Not only does Rhona feel like a mother figure towards Ivy, but others within Smithy have also grown fond of the baby.

However, as Gus begins healing from his devastating loss and prepares himself for single parenthood, he’ll want Ivy back in his life regardless of any emotional attachments formed elsewhere.

Marlon and Mary observe Rhona’s unwavering dedication towards caring for Ivy and grow increasingly concerned about how she’ll cope when she inevitably has to hand the child back over.

Understandably distraught at having bonded so closely with Ivy, Rhona seeks legal advice regarding custody options.
