Law & Order: Organized Crime Future Uncertain
Fans of Law & Order: Organized Crime are currently facing uncertainty as the show’s future on NBC is unclear. The series, starring Christopher Meloni, has reportedly performed well on Peacock, NBC’s streaming service, but has the lowest ratings of all the Dick Wolf-produced series on NBC.
If NBC decides not to renew the show for a fifth season, it could move to Peacock. This would mark the first Wolf show exclusive to Peacock, but it would not be the first time a Law & Order spinoff has moved from NBC to another network. Law & Order: Criminal Intent successfully transitioned to USA Network after its initial six seasons on NBC.
The show’s serialized storytelling format and darker tone, which sets it apart from its franchise counterparts, may be better suited to streaming. A move to Peacock would allow the series to explore even grittier storylines, free from broadcast content restrictions.
As of April 2024, the future of Law & Order: Organized Crime remains undecided, with fans eagerly awaiting news of renewal or migration to Peacock.
