Michael Bay Join ID for new True Crime Series
Michael Bay (The Transformers films, 13 Hours, Armageddon) has signed on to executive produce a new true crime docuseries for Investigation Discovery. The first season of the show, which is scheduled to air in 2024, will focus on a horrifying but relatively unknown true crime.
What does Michael Bay say
“I’m a storyteller at heart; I’m fascinated by the human mind and exploring what makes each of us tick. When you approach documenting real-life crime from that perspective, the end result is always intriguing,” said executive producer, Michael Bay. “Known for the caliber of their programming, Investigation Discovery’s expertise in unscripted true crime is second to none, and I can’t wait to expose one of the most twisted crimes of the century.”
ID’s growing slate of powerful docuseries has been generating strong engagement across linear and streaming over the past year, and Bay’s upcoming series will be joining them. With the release of docuseries like THE PRICE OF GLEE and JARED FROM SUBWAY: CATCHING A MONSTER, as well as the upcoming explosive three-night television event THE CURIOUS CASE OF NATALIA GRACE, ID surpassed all other Total Day Networks without sports among women 25-54 in April of this year*. ID’s new docuseries from Bay will continue the network’s momentum as a leader in compelling true crime programming and bolster the 2024 schedule.
