More Cast Announcements for Starz Drama “The Hunting Wives”

STARZ has announced the addition of Chrissy Metz, Jaime Ray Newman, Katie Lowes, and George Ferrier as series regulars in their upcoming drama series “The Hunting Wives.” Joining previously announced cast members Malin Åkerman, Brittany Snow, Dermot Mulroney, and Evan Jonigkeit. Production for the thrilling new series has already begun in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Chrissy Metz will be portraying the character “Starr,” a proud working-class woman and devoted Christian who is the mother of Abby. Despite her involvement with church activities and her daughter’s relationship with star point guard Brad, Starr struggles to fit into the high-society world of the Hunting Wives. This will lead to intense clashes between Starr and Brad’s mother Jill.

Jaime Ray Newman takes on the role of “Callie,” wife to powerful Sheriff Jonny and a formidable figure herself. Callie is a skilled marksman and holds significant influence within the Hunting Wives group. However, she harbors deep feelings for Margo while also feeling envious of Sophie’s newfound sway.

Katie Lowes portrays “Jill,” Reverend Clint’s spouse and a prominent figure in their mega church. Stuck in an unhappy marriage, Jill becomes overly invested in her son Brad’s life. As events unfold, it becomes clear that she will stop at nothing to protect him.

George Ferrier joins as “Brad,” the seemingly perfect All-Texan boy who possesses wealth, good looks, athleticism, and promising prospects for his future. However, behind closed doors lies a web of secrets—emotionally entangled with his mother Jill while carrying on an affair with one of her close friends.

“The Hunting Wives” draws inspiration from May Cobb’s novel of the same name—a gripping tale that follows Sophie’s family as they relocate from the East Coast to rural East Texas. Seduced by socialite Margo Banks, Sophie finds her life consumed by obsession, seduction, and murder.

Executive produced by Rebecca Cutter, who will also serve as showrunner and writer for the series. Other executive producers include Erwin Stoff for 3 Arts Entertainment and May Cobb. “The Hunting Wives” is a production of Lionsgate Television and 3 Arts Entertainment.
