The season premiere of Next Baking Master: Paris airing on Monday May 6 on Food Network, welcomes 10 ambitious American bakers to the culinary capital of the world: Paris. In this debut episode, hosts acclaimed pastry chef Stephanie Boswell and French-born chef and restaurateur Ludo Lefebvre, the premiere episode, aptly named “Cream Rises to the Top,” challenges the bakers to showcase their unique culinary perspectives.

The series kicks off with Boswell and Lefebvre welcoming the ten bakers to the culinary capital of the world, Paris. The contestants are tasked with creating delectable desserts that reflect their individual styles while demonstrating their knowledge of French techniques. The challenge soon intensifies as the bakers are introduced to an iconic French ingredient: cream. They must incorporate cream into their cake creations, pushing their creativity and baking skills to the limit.

The bakers are then whisked away to the luxurious Royal Monceau Hotel, where they meet pastry chef Quentin Lechat and indulge in his exquisite delicacies. Back in the kitchen, the contestants must showcase their technical prowess and innovation by creating a single showstopping cake that features two unique uses of cream. The stakes are high, and the pressure is on to impress the judges with their mouthwatering creations.

The bakers will strive to perfect their craft, knowing that each week, the lowest-performing baker will be sent home. Only one will ultimately earn the title of Next Baking Master, taking home bragging rights and an impressive suite of professional kitchen appliances and equipment valued at $25,000.

As the series progresses, the bakers will explore iconic Parisian locations, from the romantic banks of the Seine to the vibrant farmers’ markets.
