Taskmaster, 2 May 2024, Channel 4, “A Three Ring Man”
Taskmaster returns to Channel 4 Thursday 2 May at 9 pm for the sixth episode of its seventeenth series, with Greg Davies and Little Alex Horne overseeing a fresh batch of challenges for the five celebrity contestants.
In this instalment, titled “A Three Ring Man“, Steve Pemberton delivers a timely message of peace, while Joanne McNally invents a new catchphrase. John Robins, who recently opened up about his struggles with anxiety and addiction, puts his faith in honey, and Nick Mohammed, known for his role as Nathan Shelley in Ted Lasso, ties himself in knots—literally. Sophie Willan, the BAFTA-winning creator and star of Alma’s Not Normal, also faces challenges involving a bottle of water.
As the series surpasses the halfway mark, the battle to win Taskmaster Greg Davies’ golden head intensifies. Each contestant will grapple with a variety of tasks, from the simple to the complex, with Little Alex Horne acting as umpire and Davies judging their performances.
Taskmaster is a British comedy panel game show that first aired in 2015. The show features a group of five celebrities, mainly comedians, who undertake a series of challenges assigned by Davies, the titular “Taskmaster”. Horne acts as his assistant, reading out the tasks and sometimes assisting the contestants. Davies then judges the contestants’ performances and awards points based on their creativity, logic, and lateral thinking.
